Experience symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath), have been in close contact with a person with COVID-19, and/or have recently traveled from an area with a widespread outbreak.
Serology test (Antibody Test) can detect if a person has antibodies to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. A patient's blood sample will be placed in a centrifuge to separate the blood and plasma or serum that contain antibodies. The blood sample will be sent off to a testing lab, where is it isolated and prepared to test if there are any antibodies against the Covid-19 Virus.
The testing process on the instruments is fully automate and reliable.
A Q-tip-like swab will be inserted into one or both nostrils to collect sample of secretions. The sample is then refrigerated and sent to a testing lab.
